qPCR-Premium® EHV-1 & EHV-4

The qPCR-Premium^® EHV-1 & EHV-4 kit makes it possible to detect in the same reaction well, the presence of:

• EHV-1 virus (genetic target: glycoprotein B) (6-FAM), 
• EHV-4 virus (genetic target: glycoprotein B) (VIC), 
• An endogenous internal positive control (IPC) present in equine somatic cells (genetic target gapdh) (Cy5), 

It also makes it possible to quantify the viral load in the number of viral particles per swab in an absolute or relative way. 

Sampling types : 

• Nasopharyngeal swabs, whole blood on EDTA, liver and spleen of the abortion
• Storage of samples: at 4°C for a maximum of 7 days or -20°C beyond
