qPCR-Premium® Babesia caballi - Theileria equi

The qPCR-Premium^® Babesia caballi - Theileria equi kit makes it possible to detect in the same reaction well, the presence of:

• Babesia caballi protozoa (6-FAM), 
• Theileria equi protozoa (VIC), 
• An endogenous internal positive control (IPC) present in equine somatic cells (genetic target gapdh) (Cy5), 

It also makes it possible to quantify the parasite load in the number of Equivalent Genome (GE) by PCR in a relative way. 

Sampling types : 

• Whole blood on EDTA
• Storage of samples: at 4°C for a maximum of 7 days or -20°C beyond
