Description

The Fasciolosis ELISA kit is an indirect single-patient ELISA for the detection of antibodies to Fasciola hepatica in samples of individual serum, serum mixture, individual plasma, plasma mixture, meat juice, individual milk or bovine tank milk. This ELISA test enables the diagnosis of Fasciolosis in cattle. It was developed in collaboration with the Department of Virology, Parasitology and Immunology at Ghent University (Belgium).

Fasciolosis ELISA kit developed by Svanova in collaboration with the Department of Virology, Parasitology and Immunology at Ghent University (Belgium), and following ISO 9001:2008 specifications

Sensitive and specific single-cup indirect ELISA test to detect exposure of cattle to Fasciola hepatica during and after infection

Simplified handling with ready-to-use conjugate, and flexible incubation time (short or overnight)

Enables monitoring of the efficacy of control strategies

Triple functionality: milk, serum, and meat juice samples can be tested in the same assay

Get reliable results and detect infections ahead of standard testing methods with an I/O protein-based assay that detects antibodies in immature parasite stages and subclinical disease states

Monitor at different stages of production at the farm, dairy, or abattoir and on herds or large numbers of individual animals with milk, serum, and meat juice analyses.

Matrices: Serum/plasma sample (individual or mixed), meat juice, bovine milk (individual or tank milk)

To improve the monitoring of your results over time, we suggest using ready-to-use low-positive samples (MRI, Internal Reference Material, BioLisa® MRI Serum Fasciola (individual) and BioLisa® MRI Serum Fasciola (pool), ref. ESTFAS001 and EMTFAS001). These samples allow you to monitor the reliability of the test using a control card. It is recommended to use an MRI with each test.

To ensure the integrity and efficiency of your kits, follow these storage recommendations:

Real-time PCR kits:

On receipt: Store kits at a temperature ≤ -16°C. This preserves the quality and performance of the kit components.

ELISA kits:

On receipt: Store components at 5 ± 3°C to maintain efficacy. The concentrated wash solution can be stored at room temperature, i.e. 21 ± 4°C.

By respecting these storage conditions, you ensure the reliability and optimum performance of your kits for accurate and consistent results.

  • The shelf life of a PCR kit for the detection of RNA pathogens (viruses) is 12 months.

  • The shelf-life of a PCR kit for the detection of DNA pathogens (viruses, bacteria, parasites) is 18 months.

  • The shelf-life of an ELISA kit is 15 or 18 months.
